supporting students
today and tomorrow
The proposed plan is designed to address the space challenges students and staff are experiencing today while preparing United South Central for continued growth. New classrooms, expanded student support and flexible learning spaces, improved parking and traffic flow, and community-serving spaces will help ensure the district can continue providing high-quality learning environments for years to come.
Project scope

Additional classroom space for early learning and elementary students to support enrollment growth, provide appropriately sized classrooms, and free up space for high school programs.

A multi-purpose space addition to alleviate scheduling constraints and provide adequate instructional space for required physical education classes, student activities, and community use.

Expanded office and student support areas to provide dedicated space for counseling, health services, and staff who support student learning and well-being.

Flexible learning and small group spaces to support small group instruction, collaboration, and a variety of teaching and learning needs.

Repurposed rooms for STEM, core instruction, and specialized services to create space for
hands-on learning, core academic programs, and specialized student support services.

Improved parent
drop-off and bus separation to increase safety and reduce traffic conflicts during daily arrival and dismissal times.

Expanded parking to enhance safety and traffic flow by providing additional parking spaces and improving circulation during the school day and at events.

Building maintenance and system improvements addresses facility needs that extend the life of the building and exceed available state maintenance funding.

District-wide storage space provides dedicated storage for classrooms, district programs, maintenance, custodial equipment, and receiving, improving organization and freeing up instructional space.
What's on the ballot?
On the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot, voters will be asked to consider a $22.9 million facility bond referendum to fund additions, renovations, site improvements, and building maintenance at United South Central Schools. This proposed project will address the district’s current space needs while supporting continued enrollment growth.
